Fur Farming

Fur! It is very sad to see that in today's society certain practices of cruelty exist and are so rampant and can be accepted. Amazingly, some people still actually think it is "fashionable" to wear fur. Personally, I am embarrassed for anyone who wears fur given the suffering caused to make the coats they buy.
Sadly even educated people do not know the horrors and depth of suffering that these animals have to endue for their luxury. Suffering = Suffering no matter how you cut it. Sadly with the event of modern medicines and all its benefits to humans, it has created for most animals an endless world of suffering; animals can be kept in the most deplorable conditions for their fur; conditions that drive them insane: conditions that make the average concerned citizen shocked and embarrassed at what they may have supported in the past.

Any animal with soft fur is used, from minks, foxes to the cats, kittens, fluffy puppies you buy to be your beloved companion. I hope I never see anyone wearing real fur, as I will probably be arrested! Please don't support fur of any kind.

"After months of living on fur farms, or after being caught from the wild, fur-bearing animals are murdered using inhumane and barbaric methods including anal and vaginal electrocution, neck breaking, lung stomping, gassing, clubbing, neck breaking, or chemical injection.

Fur farmers often channel Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas from the exhaust of their trucks into a sealed cage containing animals to be killed. This hot gas burns the lungs and eyes of animals and causes a long a painful death.

Trappers often kill animals caught in their traps with whatever they have on hand - by repeatedly smashing an animal with a shovel or a club, or stomping on an animal's lungs."

"44 million animals are killed each year for the production of fur. An average of 80 animals will lose their lives to make ONE fur coat."

"Some people believe that animals raised in captivity on fur "ranches" do not suffer. This is not the case. Trapping and "ranching" have both similar and disparate cruelties involved, and neither is humane. "Ranched" animals, mostly minks and foxes, spend their entire lives in appalling conditions, only to be killed by painful and primitive methods. Approximately one half of the fur coats made in the United States and Canada come from captive animals bred, born, and raised on fur farms."
